PERENNIAL RYEGRASS
Improved varieties of perennial ryegrass contain a very high level of endophytes, resistant to important insect pests, such as billbugs, sod webworms and chinch bugs. Turf containing endophytes have also demonstrated a greater resistance to diseases, a better tolerance to drought and a stronger seeding vigour. These varieties have a good tolerance to low mowing, as little as ½” or less.
